Musical Baton

お久しぶりのfacethemusicさんから、Musical Batonがまわってまいりました。ありがとうございます。
Musical Batonって何かというと、こういうものらしい。

海外のブログに端を発する、音楽に関する企画。

音楽に関するいくつかの質問が「バトン」として回ってきたら、自分のブログ上でこれらの質問に答え、次の 5 人を選びその人にバトンを渡す、というルール。

質問は以下の５つ。

* Total volume of music files on my computer （コンピュータに入ってる音楽ファイルの容量）
* Song playing right now （今聞いている曲）
* The last CD I bought （最後に買った CD）
* Five songs(tunes) I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me （よく聞く、または特別な思い入れのある 5 曲）
* Five people to whom I'm passing the baton （バトンを渡す 5 名）

さくっといきましょうか。

* Total volume of music files on my computer （コンピュータに入ってる音楽ファイルの容量）
　なんとゼロ。いや、本当に。綺麗さっぱり何も入っていない。ノートパソコンのスピーカーで音楽を聴く気が起きないのよね。ipodも持ってないしさ。

* Song playing right now （今聞いている曲）
　“希少情報”Twigy（from“七日間”）
　好きな曲で今でもよく聞き返してます。なんだかんだいってもワンアンドオンリーな感じ>

* The last CD I bought （最後に買った CD）
“DYNAMITE”JAMIROQUAI
　久々の新譜。でも微妙かもしんない。生演奏感なくなっちゃったなー。2nd Al.は今でも愛聴盤。

* Five songs(tunes) I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me （よく聞く、または特別な思い入れのある 5 曲）
ていうか、この企画に乗っている人はこの項目に回答したいがために乗っかっているのではなかろうか（笑）。

“Royal Scam”STEELY DAN
あえて“Aja”や“Goucho”ではなくコレを。最も洗練されたユニットであるSTEELY DANの軸足がジャズやラテンやブルースではなく「ロック」に乗っかっていた時期の最後のアルバム。特に最初の三曲は圧巻。

“The Low End Theory”A TRIBE CALLED QUEST
　完成度の点では次の作品である“Midnight Marauders”に軍配が上がると思うけれども、HIPHOPに低音の魅力を見せ付けたこれでもかと今作のインパクトはさすが。ベースの一音、スネアの一音さえもがクラシック。

“リスペクト”ライムスター
　“耳ヲ貸スベキ”“B-BOYイズム”“キング・オブ・ステージ”が日本のシーンに与えたインパクトを覚えているか？　こんなに真剣なのに、アルバム通して聴いていると実に楽しい。最高じゃないか。個人的には近作と“グレイゾーン”がライムスターのアルバムの中では双璧。

“Brown Sugar”D'ANGELO
ええ、定番ですとも。良いじゃん、好きなんだから。90年代にカーティス・メイフィールドが戻ってきたって感じか。いや、このアルバムが出た当時って、カーティス･メイフィールドをちゃんと聞いたことって無かったんだけど（笑）。鬱でサグなファルセットの怪物。今は太ってしまっているって本当かしらん？

“Ruby Vroom”SOUL COUGHING
プロデューサーのチャド・ブレイクが大活躍したであろう、SOUL COUGHINGの1stにして最高傑作。ボーカルとサンプリングのぶっ壊れた世界観を、ウッドベースとドラムがきっちりまとめ上げる。彼ら自身も以後は再現することが出来なかった稀有の完成度。

　ええと、交友関係が狭いもので4名さんしか挙げられなかったっす。いやはや。
