でもまあ、これくらいはいってみりゃあ公然の秘密ですんで書いちゃいますが、このDVDを出すメーカーから「発売日以前の販売はまかりならん」という連絡がございました。全国の店舗に公平な競争を云々、守らなかった場合は契約解除が云々。
関係ありませんが、ゲームの場合も同様の通達だか圧力だか、まあ呼び名はともかく働きかけがあります。今回のDVDも同様のやり方をしているわけですな。
ところが、皆さんご存知の通りCDやDVDの場合はほとんどの店舗は入荷したらすぐに店頭に並べます。というかね、伝票に「店頭日は○○日（←発売日の前日）厳守でお願いいたします」みたいに書いて来るんだよ（笑）。ソニーからなんかはCDもゲームも入ってくるわけで、まったく正反対の「指図」になんか笑けてくるわけですが。まあ、DVDの場合は「入荷日の前日には店頭に並んでいる」というのがあるわけです。お客さんもそれを知っているので、発売日の前日にDVDやCDを買いに来たり入荷の問い合わせをしたりというお客さんがたくさんいらっしゃる。
で、もうじき出る某ゲームに関連したDVDというのは当然ながらゲームではなく映像作品でありまして、DVDなわけですよ。
DVDは通常、発売日の前日には店頭に並んでいます。お客さんもそれを知っている上で、贔屓のお店に買いに行くわけです。
このDVDに関しては「発売日前日に売ることはまかりならん。売ったら契約解除するからね」と言われているので、まあ、多くの店は発売日の前日には店頭には並べないと思います。
でも、お客さんはそんなこと知りませんよね。話題作であり、ウチの店でもたくさんの予約が入っています。全国各地で、たくさんのお客さんが発売日前日に貴重な時間を割いてお店に買いにいったり、お店に問い合わせしたりすることでしょう。
そして多くのお客さんが無駄足を踏むわけです。
いやまあ、良いんですけどね。ここまでお客さんにそっぽを向いた企業態度は、思わず溜息を誘うな、と。発売日前日に、たくさんのお客さんが無駄足を踏むことくらい予想できるだろうに。
でもなあ、さすがにス……某メーカーに契約解除されたらたまらんしなあ（苦笑）。
まあＤＶＤとゲームではちと理由が違ってくるんですが、要は「認めてしまうと店によって有利不利ができてしまうんで公正さを欠く」ってこと。
立地によっては前日に販売できない店だってあるわけだし。
でも実際客側は「前日販売は当たり前」みたいに思ってるからまた大変なんだなあ。
それもこれもＣＤが前日売りを普及させたのが大きいのだが。
でも実のところス・・もとい某メーカーさんも「前日売りでも何でも売れりゃあＯＫ」なんだよなあ、あの会社は。（笑）
ま、今時フライングに口うるさいのはゲームのハードメーカーくらいのもんですが。
